Austin River Runs

Several runs of 6 miles along Austin's Colorado River trails. A couple of blocks of street running front the Hilton to reach some really nice, dirt packed trails with loop options using bridges. Hereford AMS Conference, Jan. 5-10

Devil's Thumb Pass/King Lake Trail Loop - 16 miles

Image
Monster run/hike for me. Rach and Kelly are in Aspen and Leah is at a sleepover. Got up at 5 and to the Hessie Trailhead by 5:50. Still dark for those first 20 minutes of hiking! Got to the pass by 8am! That's around 7.5 miles with a 2300ft gain in 2hours. Not bad for an old fart! Uli Steck was inspiration :-) Around to the south along the divide and dropped down to Bob and Betty Lake then down the long and boring King Lake Trail. Didn't see a soul until shortly before getting back to the intersection near Lost Lake trail. From 2010 Droid Pics and Vids

A run here a run there

Did a couple of lunch runs this first full week of 2010. The roads are in bad shape for riding and besides, it's too cold. A run followed by 20 minutes of light lifting is OK though I do miss the buzz of a fast ride.r

Lunch run

The long way around, 5 miles, clockwise. Watched a glider doing repeat drops and landings and decided to stop at the club office to see what the cost is to get a license to glide. Hmmmmm, might need to do it this year!

Lunch run

Just a short to get some air and then a pump in the gym.

Work/lunch run - 4miles

The Independence/57th//Jay/trail loop on a very drizzly day. The best weather for a run!
