75th/Baseline/Creek Path - 45min, 16miles

Solo loop on the flats with cool fall temps. Gotta figure out a good clothing system for these temps!

Bear Canyon/Skunk Canyon trail run - 5miles

Late Saturday PM run to get the cobwebs out. It is so much tougher to get up to speed and in a good pace running than it is riding!

Hall Open Space - 8 miles, 1hr45min

After work jaunt to Lyons with Dan. Much easier on the tech sections with the full suspension.

Lee Hill, counterclockwise - 1hr10min, 23 miles

Wicked trying to keep up with the NCAR riders at the front of the packfor the 1400' gain. I was able to contribute to pulling on the flats of 36 for the last 2 miles before Lefthand. But then the pace up that long sloping grade was just too much. I was able to maintain decent going past Olde Stage but then ended up as the last of person of the front half of the pack. Kept within a minute or two of Kay but lost site of here near the cutoff to Jamestown. Haha, but I get closer again just as we hit Lee Hill. And I made it to within 10 seconds of her at the top of the second and last hill. Finally caught her just before the Broadway crossing. Awesome, tough, gritty ride today.

Bear Peak, 8,461 feet - 4hours, 7+ miles

Beautiful warm day for Kelly's first hike up Bear. What a killer loop up Fren Canyon, Bear Peak, down West Ridge and Bear Canyon. 3,000 foot gain to boot!

Olde Stage, counterclockwise - fast

Oh yeah. Back at it. Kay and Katherine with a 19mph average for the loop. Darn good for all the gentle slope and climbing in this one.

63rd/Nelson/75th/Diagonal - 55min, 21miles

Finally back up to par. And riding in a group of three is definitley the most fun! Lots of trading off with Kay and Stan on this one. Freshly tuned bike helps too.

Walker Ranch Loop, clockwise - 1hr50mi, 8miles

Slow and enjoyable loop around with Dan. On my new bike! 2004 Trek Fuel 80, used but in great shape. My tushie appreciates the full suspension. A bit of rain, thunder, and sleet. Nice and cool. Fall riding is coming on!

New Mountain Bike - Trek Fuel 80

Yahoo! A new set of wheels to replace my old (but still totaly cool if it weren't for the broken fork) Trek 8000 hardtail. Used for $550. No dinks, just some general wear and a bit of dirt. Otherwise like new. http://www.trekbikes.com/bikes/2004/mountain/fuel80.jsp

Flagstaff to reservoir overlook and Amphitheater - 2hours, 26miles

Killer Sunday AM climb. In better style this time. I love the backside to the res overlook and back. Had to finish it up with a zoom up to the Amphitheater overlook on the way down. I finally feel like my rafting hiatus is behind me and my legs and lungs are getting in synch.

West Magnolia mountain biking - 2hrs, 8miles

Slow ride looking for a connecting loop up across from Heidi'd place. No luck. Fun time anyways. With Dan.

75th/Isabelle/Lookout - 1hr, 20miles

Solo loop on a hot day.

63rd/Niwot/75th/Nelson/63rd/Reservoir to 53rd - 1hour, 21miles

Started out with the big boys on the weekly NCAR ride. Got dropped on westbound Nelson and it was running late so ditched it down 63rd. Then got a wild hair and bumped across the damn above the res to 53rd. Fun! Great views and nice to see the water. Felt pretty good but the 3 week hiatus from a regular schedule has my lungs feeling small. Kind of wild to see how fast you decline from a peak.

Flagstaff to high point - 1hr45min, 20 miles

Labor Day sunrise ride while the girls slept in. A huffing and a puffing but it felt good. Top of the switch backs with a quick jaunt up to the amphitheater on the way back down.

Niwot Loop clockwise - 50min, 16 miles

Tony and I went for a nice breathable loop over lunch.
