Olde Stage from the north - 55min, 19miles

Trio ride with a slow start but picked it up on the hill.

Lookout/95th/Valmont - 50min, 17miles

Solo, the 3 Bitches in reverse on a shortened loop. Came back all the way along Valmont along the north side of the Butte. Once construction in completed on the bridge there, this will be a great loop to repeat.

Nelson clockwise - 22miles

A nice average of 20mph with Heidi and yet _another_ awesome fall day. it can keep this up for the next couple of months - as long as it's snowing in the mountains.

Heil Ranch - 5 miles

After an aborted lunch time ride, due to a blown out tire, a quick mountain bike ride up to the upper ridge and back with Dan.

Niwot/95th/Baseline - 23miles

Heidi and Kay and me. Awesome fall day: 75F, sunny, snowy mountains, yellow trees.

Olde Stage up and back - 13miles

A quick zoom up and back with Heidi.

Nelson/Olde Stage Frosty Ride - 26miles

A wicked push trying to keep up with the head of the pack on this NCAR ride. Couldn't do it as that long grade up the west end of Nelson killed me. I did lead the front of the second group most of the way up Lefthand and Olde Stage. Feeling strong in the legs. Need to get the aerobics up to the same level.

White Ranch - 1.5hrs, 7+miles

What a cool place! I forgot how beautiful that area is. Awesome views of the plains and the filthy air above the urban corridor. Big time inversion today. Yuck. This place has the best single track. Maybe a few too many water bars but they are kind of fun too.

Olde Stage counter clockwise - 1hr, 20miles

Just Heidi and me today. The long grade up and around with that awesome fast decent back to the office. Last nice fall day??? Snow in the forecast for next week.

75th/Kane/Lookout Loop - 1h15min, 25miles

Instead of the NCAR Summer Tuesday Rides, its now the NCAR Winter Wed Frosty Rides. 10 riders, mellow until mile 22 when Heidi took the lead. The guys just hate that and have to up the pace to cover her.

Niwot Loop clockwise - 1 hour, 18 miles

Mellow but nice loop with both Kay and Heidi. Heidi's first ride since breaking her arm.

Moab Mountain Biking - Sept 29/Oct 1

Image
A quick but full 48 hour road trip to Moab with Dan. Left at noon on Thurs in time to do a 4 mile hike at Fisher Towers. Camped up on Sand Flats; very cool place with lots of sites and great views. Slickrock Trail first thing Saturday AM. Avoided the crowds with an early start. Hiked Delicate Arch in the PM. Saturday we biked the whole Porcupine Rim loop. Awesome views at the top and a wicked technical descent down to a neat sereis of benches that wind their way down to the river. Long ways around on road and dirt road back up to the trailhead.
