Loveland Teleing

Family day with nice snow. A bit windy but tolerable.

Eldorado/Cherryvale/Isabelle/ Lookout/Valmont/Baseline - 2hrs, 39+miles

Finally a longer than 25 mile ride! Solo from home with great xmas fuel to burn. 60F with snowy views. A great 20mph average and all alone, too.

Cherryvale/Eldo/Bike Path - 1hr20min, 26 miles

A fast ride with heavy legs (19mph average) with Jose, Heidi, Bill (from CU). Fun ride with a bit of up and down. Killed me on that last 1/4 mile to the town of Eldo up that slight uphill. Also been sneaking a few runs in here and there at work. But there is just nothing as good as the sustained drain of a hard ride.

Copper snowboarding

Another day of PTO for Dan. Boarded all day. Found some nice pockets of powder on the step east runs off of Resolution.

Olde Stage from the north - 1hr, 19miles

Fast, fast, fast. Lots of pulling for the group of 5 up 36 and Lefthand and a bit of pooping out near the top. I can tell that I haven't been that aerobic the past few weeks. But it felt good to push hard again.

Copper telemarking

First Saturday family ski day. Yucky rubber necking big horn sheep traffic but otherwise a nice start to the season. The girls are skiing better than where they left of last year!

Jenny Creek Trail - backcountry - 10 mile roundtrip

Rachel had the day off so we dropped the kids off at school and took the day to ski in the Indial Peaks. Cold. Brrr! But great snow all the way!

Loveland - snowboarding in powder!

Dan took PTO and I'm on to my winter 4-day-a-week work schedule. Yahoo! Awesome early season conditions with fresh foot dep powder all day long on!

Lookout Rd via Isabelle - 25miles

Frost ride but with a nice new windproof jersey. Windchill was in the low 30's.
