Everglades Kayak Trip

For the first half of our annual Florida trip, we kayaked a 34 mile loop in the Everglades out of Everglades City.

Neva clockwise - 18miles, 19mph

Another lunch ride with Al. He's into it! we traded off pulls and extended the 16 miler to 18 by heading pat 63rd out to 75th. If sticks with it, I bet we can ramp things up to 20mph+

Lookout/287/Isabelle - 21miles, 21mph

A bit of a nip in the air! But sunny and awesome views of Arapahoe Peak towering over Boulder.

Marshall Mesa Loop - 18miles

Yet another kidless Saturday early AM jaunt with Rach. This time on mnt bikes, clockwise around Marshall Mesa. Warm and sunny with temps in the upper 50's; white capped mnts to the west.

Olde Stage clockwise - 19miles, 18mph

With Al! Haven't done a 2-person ride in ages. Had a great climb up. Al was fast on the gentle downhills.

Nelson Loop clockwise - 26miles, 21+mph

About as strong as I've felt all year! A bit of a head wind north on 36 and then a roaring tail wind to along Nelson east. Cruising along over 36mph most that stretch, with a couple of hits above 42!! What a blast!!!

Gold Hill and back via Four Mile - ~20miles, 3000ft up then down

Escape from the post-Halloween blues of the girls. Drove to the canyon mouth then up the creek path and on up Four Mile to Gold Hill. With 2 feet of snow still melting off from last Thursday, the roads were clear except for in the shaded areas along the dirt roads up high. There they were mushy and OK for climbing by slick as can be for the descent. Blue skies and 50's made for a warm climb and great views. Ahhhhhh....fall in Colorado: where you just never know what the weather gods are going to hit you with next.
