Bought: Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp

Got a new mnt bike ride after seling my old Trek Fuel 80. This thing is awesome! Quite the upgrade after the Fuel 80. https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bike-archive/2010/stumpjumperfsr/stumpjumperfsrcomp/22936

Marshal Mesa and Eldo Mnt Bike trails

Memorial Day ride with Lightly! The whole Marshal Mesa loop PLUS the southern Eldo trail to Dowdy Draw. Beautiful blue skies and unreal yellow flowers everywhere. Joy. The inaugural ride for my new Stumpie!

Flagstaff

Just a quick up and down early Sunday AM after dropping Kelly off at 7:30 for Avid4Adventure staff training. 40minutes to hit the top from the Chattaqua parking lot and I wasn't pushing it very hard. I'll have to start timing myself on this and do it more often.

Lee Hill, Lefthand, Olde Stage - 21 miles

Yet again, a climbing day. Warm, partly sunny, 42 minutes to the top of the second summit.

Olde Stage, Lefthand, Lee Hill - 21miles

Lee Hill again, this time the easier way. Great temps and not too much traffic. Heavenly.

Arizona for surprise bday visit for Erwin

Hopped on a 6:30AM flight on Friday and returned Sunday late afternoon. Caught dad by total surprise Friday AM. Fun!! Then Dan shows up with Liz at 2. More surprise and fun!!

Lee Hill, Lefthand, Olde Stage - 21 miles

Lunch ride with Al. Nice and steady makes it more enjoyable! I should do this more often. It only adds a few minutes but it sure makes it less painful.

Boulder Heights from Wagon Wheel Gap - 17miles

Finally pulled a left turn at the base of Olde Stage and headed up towards the unknown. I've been meaning to check out that loop for a long long time. Well worth while! Beautiful setting, only a mile or so of dirt, and lots of pretty houses to scope out along the way. And it's a good 1400 foot elevation gain. Nice!

Marshal Mesa Road Loop - 20 miles

Sniffling, sneezing, wheezing, sour throat and headache. And a wicked stiff westerly wind. Not the best ride but a good ride to get my blood flowing, my lungs pumping and the phlegm moving. After sitting around at a workshop all week and traveling to and from Asheville, then getting sick, the conditioning is not exactly at its finest. Stil good to get out though.
