Big Bluestem loop with Kelly

A Sunday stroll in the back yard on mid-winters day.

East County Tour - 22 miles - slooowwww

The wind. The wind. When will it end. Warmish 40's but a steady push from the east made it a slow trek up over Lookout, down 75th to Baseline and around. Pretty views though and certainly a worthy way to spend a lunch hour.

Loveland tele'ing with the girls

Brrrr!!! 11F with westerly winds made for some serious wind chill! But 4 inches or so of fresh made for some fun floating. Seth joined us today.

Marshal Mesa Loop mnt. bike ride with Rach

First mnt bike ride of the year. A bit muddy on the south side but nice! The loop is now all on trail.

Nelson Loop clockwise with Al - 23 miles, another one at a leisurely 18.5 mph

First warm day with clear shoulders in ages! A nice loop at a leisurely pace. Good for the soul:-)

10th Mountain Hut ski trip

A 3-day trip cut to 2. Leah and I returned on Sunday while Rach and Kelly and Alex and Seth stayed on. Great weather up at 10th Mountain with awesome views of the peaks and ridges around Homestake Mountain! But wind-blown crust in most places made for OK skiing in the woods and survival skiing for turns up above treeline. Never the less, hut trips are always awesome!

Sourdough Trail backcountry ski

Took Ben and his new AT set up for a spin up to the Peace Memorial Bridge bowl this afternoon. Ben bought a new pair of Volkl Aranuqs with Marker Duke AT bindings and a pair of Garmont Radium AT boots. Snowy heaven up there today. The bowl was in the best shape I've ever seen it with 12 inches of super fluff.
