BVI Bareboating II

A year later and we're back for another week of plying the waters of the BVI. Flew out at midnight on Sat. March 20 arriving in St. Thomas on Sun. Afternoon. Ferry to Road Town and on the boat, a Sunsail Beneteau 39/3/2, at 5:30. More to follow...

Marshal Mesa Loop with Rachel

The Saturday before the midnight flight to the BVI. Warm and great views.

Work ride home via 75th, Cherryvale - 24 miles

Not a fast ride but good to get it in on a busy day filled with leadership academy.

Sourdough North via Niwot Ridge Trail - ~6 miles

Up early but didn't get up. The happy time change (spring forward!) took place today. Left Boulder at 11 for the trail near Gold hill Rd. Love that late winter thing: short sleeves in town with snow on the hills. It was a bit blustery but warmish, 30F, with 3 or 4 inches of fresh snow on top of an old crusty base. Not a soul in site the whole time! Skied up to the Sourdough, a bit further north than usual, and decided to avoid the wind up at treeline by taking the trail north for a couple of miles to the high point before it drops to Brainard Lake Rd. Quick return and nice turns through the woods back to the car.

Button Rock Lion Gulch loop

A nice walk in the woods with Rach and Kelly then views across the res for lunch and stroll along the creek back to the car. Leah was off with Emelia for the day.

Bear Mnt loop with Rach

An icy romp up Fern and down the West Ridge on a Sunday morning without the kids.

Winter Park tele'ing with Kelly

Great snow today! Mostly skied over on Eagle Wind which has excellent glades and mellow bumps. Hooked up with Leah and Emelia too. Leah spent the weekend with Emelia and her mom, Trina, up at WP.

Lefthand to confluence, Olde Stage - 22 miles

A bit of a different route today with climbing but avoiding the sandy descent of Lee Hill. With Al.
