Super Walker!

Image
Nothing more to say. 3pm to 6:30 door to door. Nice way to round out Memorial Day weekend.

Lefthand to the Peak to Peak - 35 miles

3rd time in a week to hit the Peak to Peak. Gets those climbing legs into shape. Another pre-work in the saddle by 6:20. In the clouds at the very end with a chilly ride back down.

Super James to Ward loop - 38 miles

Early morning ride (I'm liking these!!!) with Al. Mellow pace made it very enjoyable and not sweaty. Left the house at 5:45, picked up Al, started riding from the Greenbriar around 6:10. Peak to Peak in 1hr50min, 15min to Ward, 35min zooming down Lefthand.

Lefthand up to Peak to Peak - 35 miles

17 up, 17 down. Early am ride before work. Was inspired by Al inviting me to do the loop to Lyons but had a morning meeting that interfered with that. So, an early sunrise solo push to the high point and back. Felt nice and strong, hit the Peak to Peak after 1hr40min of climbing. Tuned into some music at mile 10 and things just floated along from there. 1hr40min to the top, 35min down the hill.

Shadow Canyon, South Boulder Peak, Bear Canyon loop

From 2012 Mobile Pics and vids Foggy, misty, drippy day. Awesome for hike over the peaks. Top of SoBo Peak was the same as last time I was there: in the clouds with a shrouded view of the nearby crags and the inside of the clouds. 75th, Nelson, 63rd, Neva, 55th lunch blues ramble

20 odd miles of digesting an unnecessary Stromboli lunch. Couldn't handle sitting at the desk with a full tummy on a quiet Wed with such nice weather. Took off at 2pm for a low traffic ramble.

Old Stage clockwise - 19 miles

Lunch ride. Legs felt a bit like logs after the 4 days of mellow mnt bike riding on the White Rim. But pushed pretty hard and managed to eek out a 19 mph average. Which I think is pretty good based on past performance on that loop. The climb is pretty slow in general, with a 4 or 5 mile gradual uphill approach and then a 1.5 mile steep climb up the south side. The rest is down and or relatively fast flats on Lefthand and Route 36.

White Rim Trail - 100 miles, 3 nights, 4x4 supported

Nice! Can't beat it. Great weather, great group, awesome setting, fun riding. May 3-6. Got that permit for next year!
